Position Objective

This position is responsible for directing the allocation process to achieve sales, margin, inventory management and profit objectives for the Brand. Leads a team in the development and implementation of allocation plans and processes for the brand.

Functional Responsibilities

•Allocation:

•Develops, communicates and executes strategic inventory plans that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of the Brand.

•Works with the Director of Store Planning on the store rankings process, including the allocation quantities to stores, which will effectively maximize the ability of each store to generate sales and margin.

•Directs the development of the Allocation Mgrs staff, ensuring a working knowledge of the concept of "average store" and apply it to allocation of merchandise, and monitoring of the business at the store level.

•Strategically Directs the management of replenishment.

•Directs the development of Allocation Mgrs and allocators to have a working knowledge of "store attributes" and apply it to allocation of merchandise, and monitoring the business at the store level.

•Forecast unit receipts and replenishment in warehouse for the brand. Project weekly average store unit receipts in stores.

•Cross Functional Collaboration:

•Partners with the Sr Leadership Team and all respective Planning and Merchandising partners as needed for all financial/business meetings.

•Partner with Global Sourcing, Logistics, DC Management and Inventory Control on all inbound merchandise/ supply chain strategies.

•Systems and Reporting

•Oversees the production of reports and analytics to support the business. Identify risks and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals.

•Support the business by directing ad hoc reporting as needed to drive or react to current or future business conditions.

Leads cross functional teams in the evaluation, recommendation, development and implementation of new systems to support the Allocation and Replenishment process.

Education

•Bachelor's degree in related field from accredited university required.

Required Qualifications

•8+ years of multi-store allocation experience. 5+ years experience in forecasting and replenishment. Experience in specialty retail - women's apparel strongly preferred. Planning experience a plus.

•Strong leadership and team-building skills; proven supervisory experience

•Able to negotiate and influence effectively

•Ability to effectively lead and develop results-oriented team; manage and motivate people to results; set challenging standards of achievement.

•Proven track record in managing a business to achieve financial results.

•Able to communicate effectively and clearly; reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency to all levels of management and with a collaborative management style.

•Strong PC proficiency with a strong emphasis in Excel, allocation and replenishment systems. SAP and JDA experience a strong plus.
