NEW YORK

Our New York office is located in Midtown near the iconic Bryant Park and the historic Grand Central Terminal, New York's best connected office neighborhood. The beautifully designed office has 360 views and tall windows to bring the outside in. We have a communal kitchen that brings the team together for Family Lunch and Happy Hours. The office is open plan with plenty of rooms and booths to take a private call, have time to relax and work in private or have a large collaborative meeting.

THE ROLE

In this true generalist role, you'll create a world-class experience for our Farfetchers at all stages of the employee journey. Following our values, you'll have an 'amaze customer' approach and will provide credible advice and counsel. With care for specific client groups, reporting to the People Business Partner, you will work with the People Partners to achieve the People agenda. You will also contribute to and lead local projects which help us to create a culture where our people succeed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • You will support the People Partner to guide and facilitate strategic people plans, activities, and cyclical processes across the employee journey e.g. talent mapping, development programs, department reviews, compensation, and performance review processes, and employee engagement action planning
    • You will be the first contact for employees by providing guidance on employee relations, people policies, procedures, and legislation following our values, spanning the employee journey, and escalating to the People Partner as needed
    • You will play an important role in the joiner, and mover processes, ensuring a world-class onboarding experience, delivering engaging new joiner onboarding sessions, and providing seamless integration into the business
    • You will conduct exit interviews and collaborate with People Coordinators to guarantee a smooth offboarding experience, aiming to understand the reasons behind attrition to improve employee retention
    • You will support and guide managers in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
    • You will collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to provide insights to the People Partner, Head of People Partnering, and senior leaders, so we can continue to improve our People experiences, employee happiness, and retention (e.g. analyze leaver trends). You will support larger-scale projects and lead on small-medium, medium impact projects within the People Team and business
    • You will keep up-to-date with employment legislation changes and industry trends in the HR world, to bring new ideas to the team


WHO YOU ARE

    • You have generalist HR experience, in a thriving or developing environment
    • You have a knowledge of employment law and practices, have managed varied and complex casework, and can considerately and discreetly deal with varied and sensitive situations
    • You have a professional etiquette and are confident communicating with stakeholder management at all levels and departments
    • You can coach managers to engage and motivate their teams, deploying an empathetic approach, always living by our 'Be Human' value of authenticity, respect, and doing the right thing.
    • You can ensure a positive overall customer experience, with a focus on the employee experience and lead to review and improve what we give.
    • You are a creative, proactive problem-solver who deals with change and ambiguity.
    • You have a growth mindset and excel in a creative environment
    • You enjoy getting into the detail and have an eye for spotting errors
    • You have experience in HR data systems and processes. Full working knowledge of Workday would be an advantage.
