THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The Head of Beauty Marketing drives the overall Marketing strategy to execution of Zalando Beauty, across our 20 Markets and together with our Partners leveraging both organic and paid (advertising) activities.. As such you oversee the annual brand and marketing plan and bring it to life in coordinating our efforts and investments in large media campaigns, social and digital activations, PR, influencers, onsite content, direct marketing, digital experience, Partner advertising campaigns etc. In this way we are ensuring we have an always-on approach to supporting the Beauty business and advertising revenues through driving CLV.

As we expand further into new Markets you will be focussed on delivering the best and most efficient plans to get Zalando to the position of The Starting Point for Beauty locally and building the Beauty business from the ground up. You are doing so in collaborating strongly with our local Markets, Global Marketing teams and Partners as well as virtually steering the Marketing and ZMS Beauty teams.

You are responsible for making Zalando's Beauty offering and the Zalando app more front-of-mind for consumers and driving our customers to come back often and whenever they think of Beauty. Success lies in driving consumer awareness of the Zalando Beauty offering, consumer engagement, traffic to site and daily active users.

You virtually lead and coordinate driving continuous learning, efficiency and innovation. This role will drive thought leadership on campaign strategies, audience segmentation, data-driven plans, and will apply industry-leading thinking to deliver the optimal program and business performance.

You will be the spearhead in defining a strategy to achieve our ambitious advertising goals, in working together across our partner base.

Proven leadership experience is essential, along with strong knowledge and experience in marketing, business building and (digital) marketing strategies. Beauty experience is a must.

  • The primary responsibility of the Head of Beauty Marketing is to collaborate cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders and key teams to develop the Annual Beauty Marketing Plan (organic and paid)
  • Lead the Marketing Planning processes for our Beauty business across of all our Markets and Partners
  • Partner with Market leads, Regional Marketing and Partners in developing key strategic approach for the business
  • Drive the execution of our Zalando Beauty campaigns (organic and paid) and communications with operational excellence and relentless pursuit of performance
  • Consistently deliver and drive new ideas and initiatives to improve commercial performance
  • Work collaboratively across functions such as Markets, Analytics, Regional Marketing, Social Media and Marketing to build strategies to improve the effectiveness of multichannel media programs
  • Enable holistic cross-channel strategies and activation plans of our communications
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
  • Professional experience & skills - 10+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in marketing management, planning, leadership, brand management. Ideally you have been in a product or brand leadership role for a consumer (digital) brand with deep experiences.
  • Business & analytical mind - Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies and expertise in reaching and engaging user/audience segments through a targeted strategy. Passionate about analysis, results and efficiency. Experienced in applying latest insights, data-analysis and KPIs to sharpen content and media strategies to drive reach, engagement and conversion. Strategic commercial and marketing mind, able to translate customer insights into a commercial opportunity.
  • Strong leadership & marketing expertise - You are able and familiar to manage multiple stakeholders effectively (locally and globally) and are reliable when it comes to getting things done. You are a great leader and team player, capable of bringing a larger audience with you on the strategic journey you will create to optimise initiatives and generate business locally. You have experience in getting things done in complex organizational environments.
  • Get stuff done - You are getting things done in a fast-paced ongoingly changing environment. You are a highly reliable business partner, passionate about your work and able to choose the right battles. You embrace and drive change and are always on the hunt for solutions and improvements.
  • Strong communicator - You have excellent English skills, and are able to communicate clearly with various stakeholders, able to bring people with you and to drive alignment.
