POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for working closely with other members of QA and Development teams, project, product managers and business owners in creating and executing test plans and scenarios to ensure the quality of software products and systems under test. This role leads testing projects (big and small), Digital Product Scrum sprint releases and can apply quality assurance best practices and skills in various systems and applications.

This position participates in product development process for ensuring software runs smoothly and meeting the business objective with agile and scrum methodology on time and within budget.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works closely with cross functional teams to ensure the effectiveness and highest quality of the components and systems enhanced or newly implemented.
• Leads and executes testing a range of projects from enhancements to strategic initiatives
• Analyzes project and business requirement specifications to derive and create test strategies, test plan and test scenarios to ensure traceability and coverage during test execution.
• Writes & executes test plans and scripts, produces, and reviews documentation of test procedures and issues/defects with project teams.
• Utilizes defect management and test tracking tools for defect logging, impact assessment and creation of test reporting and progress / completion statistics throughout and at the end of the testing lifecycle.
• Works through issues/defects & resolution in partnership with Digital Product and Project teams
• Provides tests completion metrics & analysis, final test report, as well as status read-outs to Digital Product and Project teams.
• Partners with IT product owners to plan and prepare and present sprint review/demos of new/enhanced functionality at the end of each sprint.
• Other projects/duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience in software quality assurance
• Must have independently created complete test strategies, test scenarios and defect reports
• Demonstrated understanding of risk-based testing and experience in its implementation
• Experience developing and coordinating testing efforts and project testing priorities and strategies
• Experience with multiple of the following technologies - ATG, Jira, SQL, Oracle, Big Data, DOM, TIBCO, CRM, SAP, WM, Postman, SOAPUI, Test Automation, fabric, CommerceTools, SFMC, SFSC
• Experience analyzing and dissecting system requirements to create and execute tests cases
• Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
• Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable
• Must be flexible and available to provide off-hours support on project work or production emergencies.
• Defect management and test tracking tools knowledge (experience in Jira, preferred)
• Knowledge with software development processes; intermediate knowledge preferred
• Software quality assurance certifications preferred
• Experience with automated testing tools a plus
• Performance and Load testing experience a plus
