The Position

The Senior Manager Product Development Projects & Data is part of the Product Development Team and supports the organization in reaching their targets and the management team in providing clear, efficient and timely information

The role is responsible for the project management, planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic initiatives, as well as, business KPI tracking & reporting.

The Senior Manager Product Development Projects & Data reports on the current performance against the strategic plans and KPI’s and indicates the impact on the future performance.

Responsibility and ownership of reported numbers to make the closure and reporting a smooth process

The Senior Manager Product Development Projects & Data is problem solving, leading & supporting the teams in project management as well as in execution, works in close cooperation with related departments supply value chain, merchandise & buying & planning, CR, ABI, sustainability & innovation.

Ensuring the highest quality of work are essential elements of this role. This position is a key contact person for the Product Development team for the wider organization for any questions related to data/systems and various strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading role in the Product Development reporting environment / being the key-user of Product Development reporting. Data analyze and creating KPI reports (e.g. on system completeness, sustainability, innovation, etc)

  • Responsible for the Tommy Europe Apparel performance reporting across all divisions and product groups. Drive the preparation of top management business presentations

  • KPI analysis, performance and tracking

  • Continued progression of automation of reporting and standardization across all divisions and global teams.  Creating “one source of truth” for all Product Development reporting.

  • Owning the information integrity of the Product Development reporting

  • Supporting the management team by executing (strategic) ad-hoc analyses & translating these analyses into clear presentations

  • Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, having a high sense of ownership and not shying away from responsibility

  • Lead the problem solving process: manage the structuring of issues, constantly work on creating efficiencies and alignment in processes and ways of working, the running of analyses, and the development of actionable recommendations for the business

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting or similar in-house position. Experience in the fashion, apparel retail or consumer goods industry is a plus.

  • University degree from a leading business school/university. MBA or advanced degree is preferred

  • Project management, problem structuring, and strategic problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Independent, hands-on, Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while looking for ways to improve current processes, results oriented and structured

  • Ambitious, motivated to go the extra mile and able to perform in a demanding work environment

  • Strong team player with excellent social and communication skills

  • Flexible; comfortable working in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment

  • Highly motivated/driven/proactive approach to business needs

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work in multi-cultural & multi-lingual environment

  • Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Prior PLM & SAP experience preferred

  • Proficiency in English

  • Passion for the fashion and apparel industry
