JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a Digital Project Manager with Agile delivery experience to manage customer-related projects across our platforms with a focus on Personalisation. The projects will span across customer technologies and will have a wide business impact across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will be a key member of the IT Digital team and will manage projects from inception through to delivery
  • Will have good knowledge of API development and maintenance as well as understanding of data principles and attributes and how they are leveraged to enable personalisation
  • Will be a proactive character capable of driving the projects forwards in a positive way - with a hunger for inspiring change and operational improvement
  • Will have excellent knowledge and working experience in Agile and an understanding of Jira and continuous delivery
  • Will be able to support the delivery of project scope on time, within budget and scope while maintaining stakeholder engagement throughout
  • Will work with a passionate, fun and dedicated team - on a day-to-day basis the role will involve:
    • Iterating the delivery process for the team to ensure the team are working efficiently, effectively, and happily
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies for the stream, communicating agendas and outcomes
    • Orchestrating the deliverables from the team, holding the team members accountable to their commitments
    • Co-ordination and management of resources across departments
    • Monitoring and reporting delivery progress and budget updates monthly
    • Owning the ongoing communication of delivery status to stakeholders
    • Facilitate and assist the team in vendor management
    • Facilitate and support the team and unblock issues from around the business
    • Raise risks to team members and stakeholders when necessary
    • Help team members prioritise their work in alignment with business priorities


PERSONAL PROFILE

This will give the ideal candidate great exposure across the business and will provide opportunities to develop knowledge of the luxury retail sector. The ideal candidate will have responsibility for the process and enhancements, development, testing, and adoption of projects - working closely with a team of Business Analysts, Engineers and Product Owners

  • Experience of running delivery of Agile projects is essential. An understanding and certification in Agile and an understanding of Agile Project Management approaches and how to apply them.
  • Significant industry experience working across customer projects including but not limited to Personalisation, Marketing and Customer Services.
  • Demonstrable background within a technical project management role
  • Experience working with offshore teams and agencies
  • A familiarity and appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of a range of technologies is useful
  • A passion for retail and experience within a software delivery company is essential
