OVERVIEW:


The VP of People will be an integral part of the North American leadership team. As People are our biggest asset, this role will be responsible for defining the overarching North American People strategy and agenda with full responsibility of the end to end employee lifecycle. The purpose of this role will be to create a true employee centric experience, advocating the core Gymshark Values and ensure these run through all our people processes.

The VP of People will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of best-in-class People, Talent, Pay and Perks (Reward and Benefits) and Performance strategies that support the organization in achieving its vision and strategic goals. This role reports into the NAM President and will work alongside the Group & International People Teams, ensuring consistencies where required but identifying regional nuances to ensure a localized approach to the People strategy.

This role will hold accountability for the People budget inclusive of salaries, training, benefits, recruitment, employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives. This role requires someone who has experience in people leadership, strategy creation and implementation and someone who can work with senior stakeholders to influence functional and business decisions whilst ensuring the engagement and development of their team, to drive and deliver the people objectives. The role will require a high level of flexibility and agility to meet the changing demands within the business, taking a dynamic approach to problem solving and challenging traditional methodology, while managing conflicting requirements, and in all cases ensuring legislative compliance.

Please note t his is a hybrid role partially based in our downtown Denver, CO office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate. You must also be authorized to work in the United States .

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Responsible for all disciplines inclusive of People Partnering, Pay & Perks, Talent & Performance.
  • Lead, inspire and coach a team, providing direction and regular feedback to ensure optimum productivity and individual development of the team to ultimately drive positive outcomes for the regional office.
  • Create and foster a culture of inclusion, respect, empathy and a sense of belonging, ensuring these are at the forefront of any People processes, policies, or training.
  • Become a strategic partner to the leadership teams providing support and guidance on all People related aspects including OD, change management and team development whilst providing tailored solutions for operational efficiencies in order to achieve company and team objectives
  • Define and strategize aspirational talent and org structure outcomes to develop a roadmap to achieve sustained and scalable growth that support's Gymshark North America's growth objectives
  • Collaborate with the CPO and regional People leadership teams to ensure alignment and consistency
  • Create and maintain industry networks to provide useful insights to inform the People strategy
  • Ensure the people team continue to be data led - making decisions based on the analysis of this information
  • Report and present on People Metrics - defining strategies to improve retention, engagement and productivity
  • Oversee and lead the talent mapping, evaluation and succession planning process with the leadership team
  • Monitor external themes and reflect on internal processes, finding ways to enhance and evolve the employee experience at every opportunity
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of the People processes through analysis of the employee engagement surveys, recommending action plans to drive results.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience as a Senior People Leader, having driven People programs in a rapidly growing company
  • Experience working in a D2C or retail environment preferred, not required
  • A demonstrated understanding of Colorado State Employment Law
  • Previous experience setting up a regional office in a larger, global organization preferred
  • Experience in setting and leading both a long-term and short-term people strategy
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Experience of managing, motivating, and developing a team of high functioning individuals
  • Keep up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of expertise
  • Must be capable of tailoring even the most complex messages for different audiences in a manner appropriate to the audience
  • Must be self-motivated, be proactive going beyond the call of duty, have a keen eye for detail, be result-oriented, and have an ability to stay calm under pressure and in uncertainty inspiring the same in the team
  • A naturally curious, self-driven character with a passion for understanding stakeholders and meeting their needs, whilst confidently challenging the status quo
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

This role has a salary range between $184,000-$220,000 annually depending on experience.

Part of our compensation package includes a discretionary annual company performance bonus.
