POSITION OBJECTIVE:



This position is responsible for working closely with the other members of the team and business owners to create and execute test plans and scenarios to ensure the quality of software products and systems. This role leads testing projects (big and small); provides support to the Digital Product Team sprint releases by applying best in industry quality assurance skills in various systems and applications, including marketing. This participant participates in the product development process for ensuring software runs smoothly and meeting the business objective with CI/CD agile and scrum methodology and in completing test projects on time within budget.



FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in backlog refinements, sprint planning/retrospective sessions and understands scope of feature development to estimate LOE, prepare and execute test plan of changes in given sprint cycle or project in test.
  • Attends daily scrums, keeps track of product feature change and defects identified to adapt testing when software development and defect fixes are completed.
  • Works closely with Digital Product or Project Team members to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems enhanced in each Sprint or project.
  • Utilizes defect management and test tracking tools for defect logging and provides test progress reporting and progress statistics throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Partners with Digital Product or Project teams in working through issues and defects found, impact assessment & resolution.
  • Trains and mentors other QA team members in best in practice Quality Assurance skills and process.
  • Leads and/or supports testing on multiple testing efforts in parallel.
  • Proactively suggests and implements QA process improvement strategies and methodologies.
  • Partners with cross-functional leads responsible for UAT - coordinates provision and setup of test schedules, test data, direction, and detailed strategy and plan with test scripts in accordance with the Sprint or Project release Schedule.


Required Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-7 years' experience in software quality assurance
  • Proven track record of leading testing on medium to large testing projects
  • Demonstrates experience in project estimation and resource planning for QA
  • Must have independently created complete test strategies, test plans with test cases and scenarios
  • Demonstrates experience in gathering and presenting release or project defect reports.
  • Demonstrates understanding of risk-based testing and experience in its implementation
  • Experience mentoring and training others in world class testing practices
  • Experience with multiple of the following technologies - ATG, Jira, SQL, Oracle, Big Data, DOM, TIBCO, CRM, SAP, WM, Postman, SOAPUI, Test Automation, fabric, CommerceTools, SFMC, SFSC
  • Experience analyzing and dissecting system requirements to create and execute targeted planned tests cases and scenarios for an enhancement, sprint, or project in test
  • Advanced experience with software development processes
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable
  • Must be flexible and available to provide off-hours support on project work or production emergencies
  • Software quality assurance certifications preferred
  • Experience with test management and test automation tools a plus
  • Performance and Load testing experience a plus
