About the Role

In this role, you will support globally focused teams on infusing sustainability methods and practices into our supplier's operations. You will support the Supplier Sustainability team, assist in overseeing the implementation of our key programs. The role will aid in implementing and managing our multiple programs (Assessment & Remediation, P.A.C.E.. (Gap Inc. mentorship and training program), Workplace Cooperation, Supervisory Skills Training, Prevention of Gender Based Violence program etc.)

What You'll Do

  • Implement/project mange various Supplier Sustainability programs (Assessment and Remediation, WCP, SST, PACE, WEP, GBV, SLCP, LABS etc.). This includes delivering trainings, following up with facilities, helping them expand the program implementation, manage data, and perform quality checks.
  • Evaluate and assess multiple facilities against Gap Inc.'s Code of Vendor Conduct and federal, national, state, provincial or local labor and environmental laws, Assist facility management in recognizing areas for improvement, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure sustainable and timely remediation
  • Work with various program partners to ensure effective implementation of programs, highlight issues of concern and find solutions
  • Collaborate closely with other ESG team members and to share learnings, challenges, best practices etc.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with internal (e.g. GSC, QA, other ESG functions, etc.) and external partners (e.g. vendors, facility management, external service providers, other brands NGO's, local labor rights groups and trade unions etc.).

  • Keep informed of and track changes in national, federal, state, and provincial labor and environmental laws. Keep abreast of in country political, economic, sustainability, and industry changes/trends that will impact Gap Inc.'s operations and provide timely updates to manager and LT


Who You Are

  • Strong passion for human rights and/or environmental issues. Knowledge and understanding of work specific to Sustainability initiatives and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate organization objectives in to measurable, sustainability initiatives for all business units. An understanding, including financial acumen, of how to drive business results.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, call relevant insights/interpret trends, and present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and functions
  • Capable of utilizing a collaborative approach to positively influence change management with various levels of vendor and facility management.Ability to organize and present thoughts clearly and concisely into well-constructed, easy to understand and meaningful reports, proposals, presentations and other communications.
  • Possess the aptitude of learning new skills and training vendor/facilities.
  • Works independently and handles various issues of high complexity.
