JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a talented Art Director to work on .com projects from inception through delivery. In this role, the right candidate works collaborative with digital design, creative studio, styling, and many other teams and plays a key role in setting a new perspective and creating images and videos for our digital touchpoints.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Art Director for Channel innovation and .com, you'll be expected to:

- Support the Digital of Creative Content to challenge and question old ways and come up with new ideas and approaches for .com.

- Constantly research, understand the market, identify trends, benchmark competitors and inspire the wider team with best-in-class examples of in 'digital/e-commerce first' Art Direction.

- With a mobile-first mindset, help to define art direction and executions for videos for the Burberry website.

- Be the Art Director on set, ensuring the team understand and delivers the concept through videos and stills

- Lead the post-production process, ensuring all outputs align with Burberry's standards.

- Work on .com projects from inception through delivery.

- Create and deliver presentations to the highest standards.

- Work collaboratively with the wider art direction team and with the social creative, creative media and UI & design teams to develop creative ideas adapted to .com standards.

- Collaborate closely with production and post-production teams, ensuring that standards and timelines are met.

- Collaborate with the broader marketing team, graphic design, production, and wider teams in the business to find creative solutions to briefs.

- Remain up to date with the luxury fashion market, digital innovation and creative landscape to build a strong wealth of knowledge and culture.

- Develop a personal network of creative collaborators, with a particular focus on the digital space.

- Inspire, mentor and challenge the wider art direction junior team providing support and leadership, nurturing the company culture and enthusiasm.

- Whilst striving for creativity and innovation, aim to be mindful of business needs from responding accordingly to marketing strategy and plans with a sensibility to budget and timings.

PERSONAL PROFILE

- Experience with Art Direction in commercial/online retail environment, with solid experience on .com briefs

- Previous experience working in a similar role - ideally within the luxury/fashion sector.

- Proven experience in a creative environment, with a portfolio that demonstrates collaboration with photographers and set designers.

- Knowledge and experience working with creative and marketing teams.

- Ability to deliver creative ideas with conviction to a range of stakeholders.

- Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task effectively.

- Ability to manage projects simultaneously, remaining calm under tight deadlines.

- Creative flair, originality, and a strong artistic sense.

- Excellent research and connecting skills.

- Awareness of current creative trends and innovations.

- Ability to lead the post-production process for images and videos.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

- Confident and energetic with a proactive, positive can-do attitude and the ability to excel under pressure.
