Job Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Supply Chain has primary responsibility for pulling together various data to support the management of Support expenses and operational compliance in Stores. This role will partner with our Stores teams to identify challenges with expense and logistical results that require escalation and make recommendations on process improvements and enhancements in order to drive performance.

Essential Functions:
  • Develops seasonal staffing and expense plans for all productivity passed expense accounts; Identify issues and engage store teams as needed to avoid misuse of hours and overspending vs the target
  • Partner with Store and central teams to develop seasonal workload planning calendars
  • Develop strategies and process improvement enhancements in order to increase productivity of support related activities including trailer processing, markdowns, transfers, etc.
  • Support Merchants, Distribution Centers, and Stores with transportation and booking related issues; facilitates seasonal training and onboarding courses for new merchants on supply chain best practices
  • Monitor and communicate expense and operational results regularly to both Stores and Central
  • Become a subject matter expert on supply chain and workload management applications as well as serve as a resource for Central and Store partners on these systems.

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
