ROLE OVERVIEW

DION LEE is looking for a Press Coordinator to join the New York-based Marketing + Press team. This role will work closely with the Brand Director and press team to develop and execute the Dion Lee global press strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the PR landscape, trends and platforms with a strong pulse on creative talent and media across music, fashion, art, celebrity and influencer talent. Previous experience in PR + fashion is a must.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Management of showroom and ownership of sample inventory, ensuring seamless transitions for all external sample trafficking

- Coordination of internal sample sharing across all departments of the business + managing all shipping logistics

- Record all press and VIP requests, booking in and sending out samples

- Aid in coordination of global gifting initiatives

- Researching and identifying brand ambassadors and VIP gifting opportunities

- Compile press clippings, monthly press highlights and quarterly PR reports to analyze results

- Liaise with press on editorial opportunities as well as image and credit requests 

- Manage, build, and update contact and outreach lists

- Strengthening existing industry relationships and forging new ones with key fashion assistants and market editors

- Coordinate showroom press appointments + represent the brand

- Support, plan and execute global press + retail events, including NYFW runway show

- Support the brand team across brand projects including photoshoots + partnership projects

- Monitor media landscape for relevant industry news

 

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 2 years working in a Public Relations / Social Media / Communications capacity, with prior fashion experience

- Bachelor’s Degree required

- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational and project management skills required

- Adaptability and multi-tasking capability, with strong time management

- Should possess a strong interest in the fashion industry, as well as knowledge of the market and its key players; Press, stylist, and influencer contacts

- Exceptional writing skills, outstanding verbal communication with the ability to represent the brand
