This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because:
You are a key role in supporting merchandising applications focusing on delivering an end-to-end experience. This role is a strategic position within the Engineering discipline, influencing the direction and technology decisions for discipline/practice. The scope, responsibility, and accountability are at the solution level while driving enterprise-level ambitions and objectives.
You're also resourceful and collaborative and can work through ambiguity, helping define technology requirements with managers and engineers, incorporating customer feedback, and identifying potential problems before they become real problems.

A Day in the Life:

The typical day is... atypical. You might be
  • Partnering with leadership to craft technical designs and drive the evolution of our merchandising architecture within Allocation, Pricing, and Merchandise Planning applications.
  • Collaboratingwith multiple groups to strategize and prioritize product initiatives, develop processes and solutions, and drive projects to completion.
  • Facilitating problem diagnosis and resolution with accuracy in relevant areas.
  • Performing coding/configuration, testing, implementation, and documentation on solutions developed, including design specifications.
  • Understanding business requirements from various business partners.
  • Maintaining awareness of industry trends and evaluate the applicability of new software tools to platform development.
  • Shaping our technology stack, which is constantly evolving and improving.

To Land This Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree or relative STEM experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a professional software engineer with Javasript programming language.
  • Strong technical skillsets in the following: React, GCP, SQL server, and API.
  • Three or more years of Retail IT background with experience in Planning, Allocation, Merchandising, & Buying Implementations is preferred. Consulting experience is a plus.
  • Aptitude to analyze discrete data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization & enhancements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Experience and/or knowledge with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience working in all phases of the SDLC.
