Job Overview

A Bloomingdales White Glove Delivery Colleague plays a critical role in a new service we provide to our customers. We pick up and deliver product to our customers who live outside of the city in the Hamptons and Montauk. They connect with our logistics team daily to pick up orders and deliver the with white glove, Bloomingdales friendly service using a prescribed route. They must interact daily with our customer in a friendly, helpful, and respectful manner. To deliver on our mission statement to be like no other store in the world, our White Glove Delivery Colleague must demonstrate the behaviors commensurate with "white glove service" to each and every customer they engage with. Attention to detail and a willingness to deliver on our promise are critical.

Essential Functions
  • Greets and welcomes customers while on the selling floor
  • Support and administer new receipt processing according to company standards
  • Possess the attention to detail to
  • Learn packing policies and techniques to make sure every customer receives their package in excellent condition
  • Pick up and deliver cartons designated for our customers.
  • Embrace and be proficient with technology including GPS
  • Support store during big-day events


Competencies
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Must have valid standard driver's license in good standing
  • Able to utilize GPS and google maps
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt to quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays


Physical Requirements
  • Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching and sitting on the road for 2 hours
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs
  • Able to drive a standard van
