Staff Accountant, Concession and Third-Party

Summary:

This role forms an integral part of the Concession and Third-Party Accounting department. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial reporting and control functions related to NMG's concession business models and third-party vendors. The responsibilities for this position include assisting with the month-end close process, preparing monthly reconciliations, analyzing/explaining account fluctuations, processing weekly or monthly payments to vendors, and other ad-hoc reporting requests. Responsibilities:

• Ensure reporting and payment of monies owed to Vendors is completed per contractual obligations
• Ensure timely payment processing for the concession and other vendors on a weekly and monthly basis
• Responsible for preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist in the month-end close process including assigned journal entries, accruals, and other close related responsibilities
• Assist with financial contract reviews related to concession business
• Assist with preparation of payment forecasts related to concession vendor payments
• Prepare financial schedules for internal and external reporting

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 1-2 years of accounting experience (retail experience a plus)

• Experience in Oracle and Hyperion is a plus
• Proficient in MS Excel, Business Objects, or other Database management tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills to help prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
