TEXTILES DESIGN AREA - Prints & Graphics

Permanent role, Full time & in house

London, UK


The Textile Designer is responsible for creating visual imagery, prints and graphics with a strong fashion direction using Burberry's iconic heritage and attitude as a foundation. Mixing print & graphic design knowledge, with great fashion & luxury awareness they must be able to imagine and create exciting visuals at a fast pace in line with Burberrys house codes. They should have a great understanding of the standard of luxury ready-to-wear whilst also being highly organised, reliable and with the capacity to independently lead small capsules of work creatively and technically.


Consistently design and develop high-quality, original artworks in the creative domain of Riccardo Tisci.

Generate artworks with a very high level of refinement using a range of techniques & computer programs.

Engineering intricate placed artworks.

Research, cultivate and push concepts to their limits to further establish the visual identity of Burberry.

Able to enter the customer's mindset to create product that appeals to Burberrys consumers.

Work collaboratively with cross functional teams including Runway MW / WW and Pre-Collection MW / WW.

Demonstrate initiative in all situations, anticipate where and how they can help during every step of the creative process and work pro-actively to help the team finish its workload.

Willingness to learn and also adapt to Burberrys systems and processes

Manage Assistant Designer, both their growth and workflow.

Ability to follow the technical side of developing collections in collaboration with Product Development and Fabric Teams.

Project lead on small projects.

Mid-Level Administrative Duties.


Strong creative ability, high taste level and a wide technical skill set.

Great image making skills with good adaptability to a variety of different styles.

Exceptional Illustrator & Photoshop Skills.

A great understanding of fashion with a wide knowledge of design and ready to wear product.

Strong commercial awareness, specifically in regards to the luxury & streetwear consumer.

Can operate at fast pace and with a sense of urgency.

Strong communication skills and ability to discuss with functional experts in Design, Fabric, and Product Development.

Consistent attention to detail combined with a strong t eam work ethic and presence.

Excellent problem-solving ability and great organisational skills.

5 plus years' experience within Fashion or Textiles or other relatable industry preferable.

Dependable, reliable and with a Proactive Attitude.
