Reports to: Chief Executive Officer/President

Classification: Full-time; Exempt

Job Summary: This position will oversee the planning, coordination and quality control of the manufacturing of products including, but not limited to, woven garments, knitwear, shoes and accessories. This position will ensure that products are produced efficiently, and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work closely with the Executive Creative Director throughout development process and oversee production calendar, bulk fabric ordering and tracking, costing, PPS and TOP review, trim purchasing and bulk fittings
  • Create annual production time and action calendar and ensure designer and factory partners guarantee on-time calendar deadlines
  • Review and manage fabric prices, minimums, delivery lead times and margins
  • Manage pricing spreadsheets of cost of goods sold
  • Negotiate with fabric vendors/yarn mills and factories on costing and timing
  • Issue production fabric PO’s. Track receipts, manage fabric position and reorders
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with factories; find new resources when necessary
  • Source and order trims for production; resource or redevelop fabric and trims when necessary to meet costing targets.
  • Issue production cut tickets and liaise with production factories to ensure all parties understand what needs to be done.
  • Develop and implement standard specs for production to ensure consistency in fit throughout collections
  • Manage ETA’s for each delivery with factory partners
  • Oversee quality check on production and ensure production deliveries match cut tickets
  • Maintain a strict high standard of quality for all production throughout all seasons
  • Analyze inventory reports for best sellers, colors, and categories; Initiate re- cuts in season
  • Brainstorm with creative team on the launch of new products/deliveries to ensure featured planned products match marketing directives and inventory
  • Participate in and lead production fittings
  • Be available for sample development, fittings and meetings when necessary
  • Manage the workflow of the production team (assistant and production interns)
  • Manage the workflow of the Atelier when cutting/sewing of production is in process
  • Work closely with the development team to manage custom or special orders
  • Maintain archive production of fabrics, trims, etc. from every season
  • Have superior organization and time management skills
  • Ensure that all deliverables are met on time despite production delays
