In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.

Job mission

To define the operative guidelines and coordinate accounting, fiscality and treasury aspects of the Company interacting with OTB Group and foreign subsidiaries.

Job responsibilities and activities

Directly reporting to the CFO and managing a team of 5 employees, the Chief Accounting Officer has the following main responsibilities:

- Coordinating activities such as: revenue cycle, liability cycle, general ledger and treasury
- Guaranteeing the right procedure of internal control
- Managing statutory and IAS Financial Statements
- Running monthly and year end closing process
- Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Managing internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Overseeing the current and deferred tax calculation
- Managing indirect taxation compliance
- Supervising transfer pricing
- Coordinating the activity of operative treasury
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

Skills and experience

- Proven work experience (minimum 10 years) as a chief accounting officer or Accounting Manager or similar role in an international environment, experience in an audit company is appreciated
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Familiarity with financial & fiscal regulations, i.e. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (FRGAAP) and IFRS
- Bachelor or master's degree in finance, Accounting
- Reliability and strong work ethics
- French, English are mandatory Italian knowledge is highly valued
