POSITION OVERVIEW

The Neiman Marcus Product Management Team is looking for a skilled Associate Product Manager who is passionate about advocating for the customer, has excellent product instincts, a passion for creating great experiences, a data-centric mindset, agile thinking, and the willingness to challenge the status quo.

The Associate Product Manager provides key support to the Product Management team by facilitating investigation, analysis, review and documentation of business features and functionality of NMG digital and technology capabilities. The APM will be responsible for organizing and leading feature kickoffs and writing user stories for new features as well as existing feature enhancements. The Associate Product Manager will also serve as a product expert on the team and will be responsible for data analysis and insights that will be used to drive ongoing optimizations.

You will contribute to the success of the NMG digital selling strategy, including ongoing feature development and optimization of the associate-facing application "Connect", POS/mobile POS and activities supporting new client relationships.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing subject matter expertise in the product area from both internal and external points of view
  • Partnering with Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand evolving business needs and customer impacts
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements for user stories and partnering with the Product team to create user flows, use case scenarios, iteration planning boards and other necessary artifacts
  • Performing data analysis on key product metrics to quickly understand customer interaction and areas of opportunity
  • Creating feature overview decks and training materials and presenting them to stakeholders
  • Triaging and troubleshooting complex user-reported system defects
  • Assisting QA team in understanding requirements and detailing acceptance criteria
  • Coordinating functional and user acceptance testing to ensure release readiness for new features


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience with Agile Frameworks and Deployment methodologies in a customer-facing production environment
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, able to work under deadlines in a changing environment, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to multi-task, working independently and to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize, communicate clearly, a consistent track record of delivery, and an obsession about the customer experience
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (including Adobe Analytics and Quantum Metrics) and experience using data to make decisions
  • Experience in eCommerce and Omni-Channel delivery
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Jira/Confluence/Structure)

EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • 2+ years of Product Management or Business Analyst experience, focused on eCommerce or digital capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or other related field
