JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work on one or more projects, bridging the gap between business needs and technical requirements on technology and reporting projects in the portfolio. You will work in partnership with business experts and technology teams to identify & implement solutions to meet the needs of evolving business models. This role is reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Product and Supply IT role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Product and Supply teams to translate preliminary business needs into benefits, project scope and objectives, in order to meet strategic organisational goals.
  • Support and participate in vendor selection activity by collating the high-level requirements, and scoring criteria and aligning this with business benefit.
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops by assimilating existing process content, identifying knowledge gaps, setting up the workshop agendas, identifying participants & creating workshop materials
  • Work at varying levels of detail, ranging from high level discussion at the start of the project, to capturing detailed requirements and working with the testing teams to scope and document test scripts
  • Communicate requirements to enterprise data and information leads, solution leads and development teams working collaboratively to develop solutions
  • Understand and uphold enterprise data and information principles in the development of both system and reporting solutions
  • Understand and visualise process changes and change impacts in collaboration with business stakeholders and Senior Product Manager, and Business Relationship Director to establish mutual understanding and accountability.
  • Liaise closely with Senior Product Manager, Project/Programme managers and Solution Architects to govern scope, manage change requests, and manage project risks.
  • Have a view of all projects within the Product and Supply IT Tower and in some cases the wider IT portfolio, to identify synergies and dependencies between projects and/or requirements.
  • Maintain and help to govern consistent Business Analysis methodology (as applied to both Agile and Waterfall delivery models) and ways of working across your stream and the wider domain.
  • Lead team of Business Analysts (if required)

Your responsibilities include managing the outputs, ways of working, development and progression of the team.
Your role may also manage training documentation and training facilitation
You may also be involved in the sourcing and management of interim contract resource

PERSONAL PROFILE

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
  • Proven ability to build relationships and partner with management stakeholders within the business and IT
  • Can clearly demonstrate delivering artifacts for each project phase, and link the business value created with the process and system improvement (preferably supported by industry certification)
  • Effective use of business modelling techniques: Process and workflow modelling (BPMN experience, preferred)
  • Experience in eliciting and documenting requirements resulting in quality deliverables, with limited direction
  • Basic understanding of data and information architecture principles
  • Basic understanding of user experience design principles


EXPERIENCE
  • Delivery of at least 3 full project lifecycles in a Business Analyst role
  • Delivery of both Waterfall and Agile projects
  • Practical application of Design Thinking/User Centred Design methodologies
  • Knowledge of Retail Fashion Sector
  • Knowledge of specific relevant business processes
  • Knowledge of specific relevant solutions (eg FlexPLM, Clo3D, Board
  • Knowledge of Sustainability/Traceability
