OVERVIEW:

We are super excited, because for the first time in Gymshark history, we'll be taking our purpose offline and setting up shop with a permanent retail space in central London. Our store will behave in a way that's totally unique to Gymshark. That's why this won't be your typical retail role - if you think experience first, retail second, then you won't be far wrong.

The Senior Team Lead at this store will be vital in helping to maintain the vibe that our family feel online, IRL. As a crucial role in the leadership team of our retail space, you'll be key in supporting the whole team to help bring Gymshark to life, in real life. You'll build and connect a hyper-localised and fully engaged community in your market, treating them like family. We don't care if they buy, browse, or just hang out. What matters is providing a safe space where everyone belongs and feels welcome.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Manage a retail team, deliver training, create learning opportunities and support everyone to be their best. Delivering feedback in a timely manner.
  • Key holder responsibilities.
  • Duty management responsibilities, responsible for people in our building, Health and Safety, security.
  • Support with the hiring, developing, and leading of a diverse and world class team that is as excited about Gymshark as we are.
  • Responsible for supporting the overall day-to-day running and strategic execution of the store, while thinking about the β€˜what next' and being present to the now.
  • Facilitating the opening and closing of the store.
  • Strive to achieve KPIs for your pillar, as demonstrated by the business, by motivating your team through passionate leadership and coaching.
  • Identify and share opportunities both within your pillar and for the wider Gymshark business.
  • Can implement disciplinary's, investigations and forms including return to works.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience managing and motivating teams in a retail space, using leadership and coaching skills.
  • Current responsibilities that include opening and closing of store and health and safety.
  • Passionate about people, services and process development. You enjoy delivering training and creating learning opportunities for the team.
  • Experience supporting the overall day-to-day running and strategic execution of the store in a fast-paced, high volume, agile environment.
  • Brand ambassador experience, ability to build a culture and community in a new environment.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and leading a diverse and world class team.
  • Comfortable with digital technology.
  • Able to take and give constructive feedback.
  • You can commit to working where and when the retail teams need you. This could be in-store, on weekends or bank holidays.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the above mindset, and be an inspirational role model to your team. In your role, you'll also be responsible for supporting ONE of our four key pillars; People, Brand, Ops and Customer. We are located in Regent Street, Central London with global presence from the Gymshark Community, if you're bi/multilingual we'd love to hear from you (but it's not a prerequisite).

In order to comply with PCI-DSS standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) which governs how we handle, store and access payment data, this position is subject to satisfactory results from necessary pre-employment checks, including a basic DBS check.
