Job responsabilities & activities

Within the Legal Department, in our Headquarter located in Paris, the Legal Counsel has the following main responsibilities :

  • Day by day legal support to the different internal corporate departments (in particular, but not limited to, wholesale, retail and digital);
  • To prepare, negotiate, finalize and assure the follow-up of national and international wide-ranging contracts (in particular, but not limited to, agency, distribution, franchising, concession, supply, general terms of sales, e-commerce, consulting, real estate, etc.), in French, English and/or Italian, aimed to protect the group companies' interests;
  • Within the perimeter of responsibilities, to set forth templates of contracts, internal procedures aimed to facilitate the contract management and follow up; guidelines, legal memo and legal advice according to the Group corporate compliance and the applicable laws;
  • To maintain databases ensuring accurate recording of legal contracts and other legal documents, in order to monitor and manage the possible expiring date, renewal, way-out and/or any legal requirement provided therein;
  • To monitor the evolution of the laws, within the perimeter of responsibilities;
  • To manage the relationship with external law firm supporting the company on several issues;
  • To coordinate activities with the parent company OTB S.p.A. and other Group companies (drafting of Intercompany contracts, coordination of framework agreements, privacy, compliance, etc...).

Skills & Experiences

  • Master's Degree in Commercial Law (corporate affairs, international law, distribution, competition laws, consumer laws).
  • Previous experience of at least 7/8 years within leading international law firms and/or legal departments of international groups, related to luxury/fashion industry;
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken French and English language, including legal terms;
  • Good knowledge of Italian language is required;
  • Excellent knowledge of informatic tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe);
  • Proactive character, problem-solving orientation aimed at achieving objectives and assignments;
  • Relational and organisational skills and aptitude for teamwork, but also the ability to work independently and under stress in a complex environment;
  • Rigor and professional discretion skills are mandatory;
  • Flexibility and dynamism.
