About the Role

The Licensing Operations Specialist role is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the Gap Inc licensing program within the Strategic Alliances organization. Seeking an enthusiastic teammate with a proven record of implementing processes and driving operational improvement. Ability to partner with cross-functional teams across Gap Inc. and manage and external agency partners for day to day business needs. A person who takes initiative and drives results. This is an opportunity to join an asset light, new division within Gap Inc. and be a part of building out the fast-growing licensing program.

What You'll Do

  • Support the commercial operations and business strategy for Gap and Banana Republic licensing and manage critical operations documents for launch timelines and commercial terms
  • Own process and tools creation for the ramp up of the licensing program including the workflow and build out of the smart calendar tool, reports for product selling information and category opportunities, and documentation for legal and distribution strategies
  • Support the Walmart x Gap Home partnership through project management, cross brand and cross agency partnership, operational improvement, and tool support
  • Drive internal communications to key brand stakeholders inclusive of distribution strategy, legal, trademark, renewals, financials and compliance approvals
  • Maintain Gap and Banana Republic marketing and branding guidelines, acting as the liasion between brand marketing teams and licensing partners to support on approvals of all marketing materials, placements and packaging
  • Partner with global sustainability on vendor compliance, and trademark and legal teams on contracts to track and monitor all licensed product categories

  • A proactive problem solver looking to implement new processes and drive efficiency of operations
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills, ability to interface with cross-functional and external partners
  • Sales and analytics experience
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • A highly organized self starter
