Position Overview
Support the Men's Polo Concept Design team in key areas of concept planning & execution including research, presentation and organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Research market / competitors (including products, materials, innovations)
* Photo research of imagery for seasonal inspiration
* Research RL Library & digital archives
* Manage library assets as well as borrowing process from product teams
* Create idea boards, sketches for upfront concept development
* Prep the design room for team members (unpack product, organize racks and rails)
* Establish a comprehensive knowledge of online Systems, Digital Library for Imagery and RL Library
* Develop extensive knowledge of LIC Prop warehouse, LIC product cages, as well as the RL vintage library for conceptual inspiration, showroom needs, as well as special projects and product design meetings.
* Facilitate the ordering of concept supplies (t-pins, collar pins, etc.)
* Responsible for supporting the team with seasonal showrooms, style outs, photo shoots (pulling, organizing, tracking product, bust forms, accessories)
* Prepare physical / digital presentations as requested
* Responsible for digital asset management Attend product design meetings, where relevant to connect across product categories
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding and appreciation of the Ralph Lauren Aesthetic and brand heritage.
• Degree in fashion design or related field preferred.
• Strong team work / collaborative skills set essential
• Design experience, visual merchandising, or retail a plus.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
• Goal Oriented and focused on creating winning results
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; mainly Illustrator, Photoshop & In Design
• Basic knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
