About the Role

- Monitor GL team in HK for statutory accounting, periodic reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, coordinating statutory audit, tax return and compliance for North Asia companies. This role will support forecasting as well.
- Subject matter experts in finance operation and policies and accounting treatment.
-As regional finance contact point to liaise with US head office and other Asia sourcing offices

What You'll Do

  • Owner for month end closing. Organize and maintain appropriate accounting books and records.
  • Supervise a small team of 2-3 person on day to day operation
  • Prepare regular management reports, cash flow forecast and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information
  • Prepare management accounts, provide requested materials and liaise with auditors in preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Analyze account information
  • Complete regular tax filing, transfer pricing documentation and other related tax compliance to local and foreign tax authorities. Key contact person to work with corporate
  • Compile and regional role in company finance policy and accounting treatment according to headquarter requirement as well as local GAAP principals
  • Regional representative for continuous System or process improvement, this will include defining user requirement, process development and monitoring implementation.
  • Understand business process, interface among different systems and end to end implications
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems
  • Support Finance Manager on budget & forecast of operating expenses and variance analysis with actuals.


Who You Are

  • Degree holder in Accounting with accounting qualification of HKICPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in statutory & management reporting. Experience with MNC and Big 4 is a plus.
  • Proficient in Oracle/ Essbase and excellent PC skills on MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with track record in system implementation and process re-engineering
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas preferably with some regional exposure (China, Philippines, or Vietnam)
  • Exposure to forecasting is a plus
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirement is preferred
  • Good knowledge of US, HK GAAP
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English, fluent in spoken Mandarin
