JOB PURPOSE
The Manager will lead the creation and delivery of Burberry's Annual Report, and will own and maintain the brand's corporate channels, including its corporate website and social media. The Manager will act as a business partner to internal teams, working with Marketing, Digital and IT to unearth and share exciting stories relating to Burberry's innovation and digital agenda. Reporting to the Corporate Relations Director, the Corporate Relations Manager will be responsible for leading a best-in-class approach to corporate reporting and digital communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate reporting
· Lead the project management of the Annual Report, working closely with multiple stakeholders from across the business to coordinate and draft core sections, and ensure the project's smooth delivery
· Partner with creative agency to determine the overarching theme and design of the report, in line with Burberry's brand guidelines
· Work closely with external partners to ensure content adheres to regulatory requirements
Channels
· Lead the day-to-day delivery and maintenance of Burberryplc.com, drafting and uploading content and making changes in the content management system as required
· Manage Burberry's LinkedIn page, working closely with teams across the business to draft posts that showcase impactful stories
· Monitor engagement and identify opportunities for improvement, maintaining a best-in-class approach
Innovation/digital communications
· Lead external communications for Burberry's innovation and digital agenda, driving awareness of how Burberry is engaging communities through emerging technology
· Build and maintain relationships with core business and finance press
· Work with Marketing and IT teams to unearth opportunities for robust and impactful storytelling
PERSONAL PROFILE
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Strong Corporate Relations experience either in-house or at an agency
Strong experience of managing communications/design/digital agencies, paired with a passion for digital
Excellent project management skills; , able to lead a long-term projects in partnership with multiple senior internal stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant sector experience, a proven ability to work well under pressure, assiduous attention to detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines will need to be complemented by a friendly and flexible approach.
The candidate will be able to develop close media relationships, be a team player, be able to use their initiative and be responsive to contact outside traditional working times.
The candidate will need experience in handling complex media issues, while displaying an ability to simplify technical language and tell a strong story.
Excellent media relations skills, able to handle complex media enquiries independently
Strong experience of working to deliver integrated communications plans, working closely with brand and product marketing teams
Strong experience in managing multi-channel communications campaigns and storytelling
Passion for the brand and a detailed understanding of the luxury/fashion industry
