Job Description:

 

Provide support to the merchandising team by running reports, analysing sales figures and collection performance, defining collection structure and preparing new season information, developing fashion knowledge and staying up to date with the latest fashion and luxury industry trends. Ensuring a high degree of accuracy is always maintained is key. The role spans across all product categories for both Womenswear and Menswear and reports into the Merchandising Manager.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

 

  • Running weekly, monthly and seasonal trade reports on sell-out data for internal circulation and executive briefing Ongoing competitor and product market research with a focus on range structure and price positioning Gathering qualitative market insight in collaboration with the wholesale team Preparing analysis and supporting with the development of merchandising plans that inform the structure of new collections Liaising with the Product Management and Design teams to obtain technical information on product and track style updates in-season and during SMS fits Participation in the set-up and organization of the collection documents from a design hand-over stage through to the sales campaign by updating product codes and technical information in an accurate way as the collection evolves Contributing to the preparation of supporting document packs for the seasonal Sales Campaign (including updating reports for Collection Pricing, Zedonk system bulk data upload, Joor system sync for Wholesale, Linesheet management) Assisting with the preparation of post sales campaign Sell-In reports Development of training manuals and presentations with detailed product information on each collection for the sales team

Requirements:

 

  • Degree or similar, Merchandising or Buying course would be an advantage At least 1-2 years of relevant experience as merchandising/buying assistant or internship Product sensitivity and good understanding of the Women’s Ready to Wear category Commercial awareness and an analytical mind-set Excellent communication skills and a team player Strong organisational skills, must be diligent and efficient with good attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines and manage expectations Driven and proactive, able to take initiative Must have good Excel and PowerPoint skills Numerical – comfortable with simple calculations and understanding of margins, variances and percentages
