The Financial Systems Manager will be a critical member of the Finance & Accounting department, providing timely support of day-to-day Financial processing needs of the company. The Financial Systems Manager will interact and coordinate between functional internal teams and external vendors and will work to build and maintain a positive relationship. This position will join the project team for the implementation of Microsoft D365 Finance (upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics SL) and support the use of D365 Finance across functional teams after go-live (Fall 2022). 



  • Provide systems support to the Finance, Operations and Sales teams for day-to-day operations, reporting and ongoing projects
  • Partner with department leads to create efficient, scalable processes and formalize systems and internal controls
  • Liaise with IT, data, engineering, operations and other teams to ensure system outputs are provided timely and validated for accuracy to meet financial reporting deadlines, troubleshooting issues as needed
  • Document current business processes and ensure systems are being leveraged to fully utilize capabilities and automation
  • Participate in the evaluation and lead implementation of new systems and enhancements/improvements to current systems to support accounting and finance functions
  • Analyze, evaluate and influence solutions to systems that have downstream impacts to accounting processes, while developing business requirements for strategic projects and new solutions that will scale as the company grows
  • Support all finance end users in the use of ERP and Financial applications relating to scripts, workflows, saved searches and other ad-hoc configuration setups
  • Manage tasks related to Accounting System administration, access control and upgrades in coordination with the IT department
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate into clearly defined and detailed business systems requirements, including business use cases, process flows, traceability matrices and report mock-ups
  • Monitor project progress, identify, and escalate potential project risks and delays to management
  • Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing and sign-off process with business stakeholders
  • Assist accounting and finance teams with other duties as assigned
  • Manage support activities with the 3rd party business partners

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing formalized processes and internal controls in a small company or startup environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, shifting priorities and tight timelines



  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+years’ experience as a business analyst, project management support or equivalent role
  • 4+ years’ experience supporting an accounting/finance organization
  • Experience developing and monitoring internal controls in financial systems
  • Experience with analyzing large sets of data using SQL queries and other tools
  • Experience with project implementation methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile ..) a plus
  • Experience with ERP integrated financial systems a plus
  • Experience with organizations that have International entities a plus
  • Must have experience working in Financial and related ERP applications in a multi-channel retail environment and understand the impacts of systems data and integrated processes to account for inventory, revenue recognition, general ledger and month end close
  • Prior experience with Microsoft D365 Finance or BlueCherry ERP a plus
  • Prior experience working within a Big (4) accounting firm or CPA credential a plus
