We have an amazing opportunity available for a Vue.js Developer to join our global brand.
As a Vue.js Developer you would be working on software seen by millions of people every week and would be given the chance to build brand new features from scratch using modern web technologies like Vue.js and Vuex.

This role will be focused on the front end development and support of the Paul Smith transactional website based on Magento 2 Enterprise Edition with a headless front-end. The role will also involve both the implementation of new front-end components as well as the support of existing functionality including debugging, browser, device testing and performance testing. 

(This is a remote role; however, the successful candidate would be expected to attend the Paul Smith Ltd Head Office in Nottingham twice per month)

Responsibilities:
• To demonstrate proficiency in front end development and have excellent knowledge of CSS and JavaScript. 
• Display expertise in HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS and JavaScript (incl. Vue JS) and its application to the CMS and Magento Enterprise framework.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and developing pixel perfect components, working from designs as well as providing with UI solutions.
• Writing supporting documentation on bespoke functionality.
• Exhibit the ability to work with various REST APIs to fetch receive/post data.
• Demonstrate proficiency in web animations including CSS transitions and SVG animation.
• Understand the thought process involved throughout the shopping journey and incorporate this into your design work.
• Demonstrate expertise in core web design principles including mobile-first responsive design for an eCommerce website.
• Display knowledge of core web performance benchmarks and how to optimise front end interfaces for maximum performance.
• Helping to enhance and shape the developer & deployment processes
• Demonstrate familiarity with working with version control systems including Git.
• Provide debugging, support and resolution of interface issues reported by other areas of the business.
• Research and development of new and emerging front end development tools and technologies.
• Work in an Agile working environment and using Project Management tools to track tasks and keep clear documentation of work. 

Essential Experience and Skills Required: 
• Solid HTML, CSS / SASS / LESS, JavaScript.
• Web animations (CSS transitions, SVG animation, WebGL a plus!).
• Experience with Grunt and / or Gulp.
• GIT in a team environment.
• Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.

 Desirable Experience:
• eCommerce knowledge.
• Commercial Experience with JavaScript.
