JOB PURPOSE

The Change Manager has two key roles; primarily as a change management expert who can be embedded in, and support multiple IT and Business projects. Secondly, with around 10% of their time will be to maintain and mature the IT Change Management central methodologies, artifacts and processes for all to access. Overall the change manager will play a key role in ensuring projects meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the 'people side' of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Change: Own the change approach and plan, ensuring this embedded into the core project deliverables.
  • Articulate Impacts of Change: Understand current ways of working and assess organisational and process change impacts. Help to design future working processes in collaboration with the Project team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Define Vision: Define and articulate the project vision to end users and communicate on the expected benefits of the application in collaboration with the Project team and stakeholders
  • Manage Stakeholder: Identify and engage all stakeholders required to deliver change. Be adaptable and flexible in their approach when dealing with stakeholders of all levels, in order to achieve the required level of commitment
  • Establish Change Network: Establish an effective and energised change network when appropriate; work with them to embed the new ways of working within the business
  • Manage User Feedback: Ensure the change is approached from a business perspective and people are engaged and consulted appropriately at all stages of project delivery, and their voice is heard
  • Define and deliver Training: Define and deliver an effective training strategy. Be confident in delivering training sessions direct to people or train the trainer
  • Manage Communications: Implement communications approach & plan and deliver this to all project stakeholders and end users in collaboration with Internal Communications
  • Track KPIs: Define clear and robust change KPIs to measure adoption, as well as champion project benefits tracking, ensuring the people change element is considered for the realisation planning
  • Manage resistance: Anticipate the resistance by users and pre-empt it through proactive management rather than reactive
  • Manage handover: Create a comprehensive handover plan to smoothly transition users to business as usual. Ensure new tools/systems continue to be used, gather feedback & contribute this to the evolution of these tools (6 month-review post launch)
  • Contribute to Portfolio Delivery maturity: Develop and mature IT's overall delivery by further integrating existing Burberry change methodologies to the wider Portfolio deliver.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Change Management experience essential, with experience in delivering business transformation or Change Management on global IT initiatives.
  • Change Management qualifications highly desired, with knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • IT project delivery experience essential, with a solid understanding of the project and programme management approaches and tools
  • Consulting background or similar experience preferable
  • Ability to work and influence Senior Management and build strong relationships
  • Comfort with Ambiguity
  • Experience in Training Delivery, Communications and global change programmes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels across the business
