Product Development Manager

FIGS is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the responsive execution of the strategy & direction for knit and woven product categories . This role reports into our Senior Director of Product Development and will sit on our Product Development team. Our ideal candidate is clear with processes, a serial problem solver and all-star communicator. Lastly, they are creative, passionate with product, highly organized and detail oriented.

What you'll do:

• Oversee product development and production timeline management
• Nurture and manage vendor relationships and mentor development team to do the same
• Schedule and lead development and production meetings to ensure milestones are met
• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Build processes and tools to provide clarity to cross-functional team members on key dates
• Partner with cross-functional teams to execute development calendar for optimum efficiency
• Communicate timeline conflicts, risks, changes, and action items daily
• Identify priorities and cross functional touch points
• Communicate and facilitate sample and bulk ordering strategies and tracking processes
• Partner with the fabric manager to ensure that all information and communication from our vendors is communicated with the design/production team and vice versa
• Own costing and IMU targets for each category and supplier, track cost impacts and communicate changes to all appropriate parties.
• Build processes to promote cost reduction
• Maintain BOMS to ensure each style is executed to expectation and within the established timeframe
• Identify and communicate any quality control concerns and implement processes with the fabric manager to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and standards
• Partner with Technical Innovation Team on Wear Testing for innovation programs

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in a similar role (2+ years at manager level)
• Deep knowledge in technical knits and wovens
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Robust communication skills is a must
• Ability to drive solutions for exceptional product execution
• Deadline focused and goal driven
• Excellent excel and mathematical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong negotiating skills and business acumen
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
• Centric knowledge a plus
• Ability to travel to factories as needed
