Direct Messaging (Email and App Messaging) plays a key role for our customers. Being the most impactful Marketing channel, we communicate with millions of members in 14 markets, inviting them onto a vibrant treasure hunt.

As a Senior Product Manager you will build the next generation of highly personalized and automated Email and App communication (Newsletter, Push Notifications and In-App messages) to enhance customer experience and drive commercial growth.

You will be part of our amazing Email & App Messaging team (20 FTE) and have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Zalando Lounge´s Analytics, Research and Tech teams, as well as stakeholders from other Zalando propositions.

  • You´ll hold a key role to define and deliver the next generation of highly personalized and automated email and app communication
  • You're data driven and are motivated by discovering and defining opportunities to enhance our customer's experience and drive business impact through new and adapted customer centric communication products

  • You'll translate these opportunities into a clear roadmap and drive execution and testing together with respective stakeholders
  • You'll work in cross-functional projects within Lounge and the Zalando Group to contribute to strategic initiatives
  • You'll lead the organization in building a working backwards product development process to implement and iterate on this

  • You have relevant +5 years expertise in Product Management, ideally in e-commerce. You have demonstrated experience converting strategy and product roadmaps into high-quality products utilizing Product Development principles and methods.
  • You understand email marketing and push notifications communication channels best practices & standards and have translated customer insights into powerful communication products.
  • You have worked with highly automated personalized email or app notification solutions and behavior triggered use cases. You know how to leverage Customer Data Platforms and Recommendation Engines for personalization.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to distill complex information into easy-to-understand concepts and you measure the success of your products to continuously iterate them.
  • You have the ability to clearly communicate the product vision and technical matters to a broad audience, including senior management, tech teams, and colleagues from within and outside the department.
