Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Celebrating unconventional aesthetics and embracing the philosophy that fashion is an art of expression rather than a cult of personality, Maison Margiela offers haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, contemporary line MM6, footwear, interior design, and accessories, including leather goods, fine jewelry and fragrance.
John Galliano was named Creative Director of the house in 2014, bringing his sense of spectacle and creative mastery to the unique ethos of Maison Margiela. Whilst developing his own vision for the house, John Galliano has entirely respected the Martin Margiela state of mind, creating a fascinating organic process.
In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.

Job mission

To drive the direct channels sales plan of the HQ and Europe through a consistent focus on studying the business, monitoring inventory and sales performance, and providing analysis necessary to bring in new products to fit the needs of the customer.

Job responsibilities and activities

Directly reporting to Global Planning & BI manager, the Retail Planner has the following main responsibilities:

  • Plan Seasonal Net Sales and Open-To-Buy targets for Europe
  • Coordinate the full Open-To-Buy Process through an efficient communication to/with the European Markets
  • Consolidate the Global Net Sales and Open-To-Buy for European Markets
  • Control the Open-to-Buy targets submitted in the system, ensuring the coherence with the financial targets.
  • Monitor Sell-Out performances for the direct distribution, giving insight on stores and product's results and KPIs to multiple functions
  • Monitor Seasonal Buying vs the Open-to-Buy targets during the Sales Campaign providing reports and analysis to multiple functions.


Skills and experience

  • Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate persuasively, influentially, and responsibly across a cross-functional team
  • Experience with Planning Tools (Oracle RPAS is a +)
  • Passionate about customer service (internal)
