Position Overview
Overview: The Technical Designer, 3D position is responsible and accountable for creating digital assets in Browzwear for the company to use in several different work streams, i.e.: digital showrooms and technical design / QA approvals.It is imperative that these digital assets are an accurate 3D representation of a style going to market.Ready to be colored up or used in blank format. The Technical Designer, 3D position works on all brands, genders, categories, and product areas to achieve corporate goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* This position is literate in Browzwear to create digital assets- inclusive of share point use to import avatars and block patterns needed to be successful
* This position is responsible in training others on the use of Browzwear ,V Stitcher & Lotta. Having the ability to teach, mentor, coach Designer and 3D users.
* NOTE:This position will have to host, labs and any additional training session or classes when needed.
* When Lotta work is received from Design, they are responsible and accountable for translating it into a Browzwear Digital Asset at the appropriate time in the calendar if required.NOTE: This means as soon as there is an approved pattern to create one from...
* The 3D Technical Design works with Cross functional 3D Partners to help keep the Virtual Quality Standards up to date as enhancements are needed.
* This position is responsible for ensuring that all 3D supporting tools are properly maintained. Such as Style zone, Stitch library etc.
* This position is responsible for ensuring 3D Digital asset corresponds with PLM Tech Pack and can quickly identify when there are discrepancies.
* This candidate is literate in all departmental tools (i.e. Technical Design standards) to ensure accurate starting points are used when creating digital assets.
* The position will be conducting Digital style/ fit review with cross functional teams in various stages of the development life cycle. This will require an understanding of 2D patternmaking to execute the corrections in the digital fit reviews.
* This position will be supporting the Digital Library management.
* Communication is essential to the success of the Technical Design, 3D as they must:
* Continually communicate with Design and PD (and Merchants) as needed to know the strategic vision of a brand to execute the digital assets. Understand how and when the assets will be used.
* Working with Design to ensure the digital assets is appealing to the masses for use in showrooms, etc....
* Working with the Edit / Copy Team to ensure the digital asset is quality driven able to be used on the website.
* Working with the Raw Materials Team and the Trim Team to ensure seasonal fabrics and trims are digitized timely to ensure use in the digital assets as needed.
* This position is responsible for knowing all simplification tools for brands and product areas. This includes but is not limited to: labelling combo kits, packaging combo kits, fold manuals, block body spreadsheets, pattern numbering systems, etc....
* The 3D Technical Design Department may be used for graphic driven projects and therefore the Technical Designer 3D must be flexible with helping to complete tasks such as Adobe Illustrator sketches, construction manuals, "How to Measure" diagrams, etc....on an "as needed" basis.
* The Technical Designer, 3D is accountable for understanding skills and the capacity of suppliers that create digital assets using Browzwear or any other 3D tool.
* Assessment of 3D submits from Vendors submits following the Virtual Quality Standards.
* This position requires the addition of detail into design sketches as needed via the use of Adobe Illustrator.
* This position must be familiar with grade rules to ensure digital assets are grading correctly.
* Given that all digital assets will be used in the "product file" for final inspection, the position must ensure final accuracy before production to enable a robust final inspection.
* Responsible for ensuring all tracking reports are completed on time and accurately to enable leadership to aggregate totals as needed.
* E- mail, set up phone and video conference communication with NY/HK as well as other offices globally as needed. ·Final Note: oBrowzwear capability and Lotta will support us in moving fast into "New Ways of Working".This position is to be open to New Ways of Working and suggest, modify, and be comfortable with new ideas as time goes by.
