Position Overview:

The HJ Diamond and Color Gemstone Project Analyst will lead Blue Book, Demand and Loose Stone Consignment projects to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of product, accuracy of date and pricing, while driving speed to market goals and collaborating effectively with cross functional teams (CM, PD, Design, GA, DD, and TGL) and the supplier base for diamonds and colored stones. The Analyst will have strong project management skills and serve as the subject matter expert for pricing to supply competitive estimates for both diamonds and colored gemstones. The Analyst will partner with the Gemstone Acquisition (GA) and Tiffany Grading Lab (TGL) to facilitate and ensure timely delivery of the process at each development stage, while managing gemstone procurement and coordinating all stages up to product signoff. This role will also support the Chief Gemologist as needed for all global retail events.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Management - Blue Book Projects:
  • Establish project milestones and develop project plans to meet objectives, maintaining accuracy of the Diamond Acquisition & Gemstone Acquisition masterplan.
  • Execute all deliverables for Blue Book Projects from the R&D phase to sign-off completion. (approx. 200 products)
  • Communicate key project milestones and deliverables to supplier base and cross functional partners to ensure project timeline is upheld
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to monitor and track key milestones progress throughout development.
  • Identify project risk and work closely with project manager on mitigation plan
  • Manage research on new projects, optimize suppliers and p rovide subject matter expertise in Tiffany Pricing Parameters for DA & GA.
  • Ensures data integrity is sustained throughout and upon completion of procurement
  • Process Improvement to target speed-to-market company goals.

Retail Events - Loose Stone Consignment:
  • Plan and execute on all deliverables for Loose Stone Events, maintaining data integrity on the shared (Teams) file for DD and GA.
  • Manage all requirements for Gemstone Lab reports.
  • Manage timelines for photography, color correction and SKU sign off process with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Category Management and Global Customer Service
  • Manage the payment process and communicate with Accounts payable counterparts for any open invoice resolution.

Reporting and Analysis:
  • Maintain and analyze key deliverables (status report) on all projects within the department.
  • Identify key trends and communicate risks to management and key stakeholders.
  • Build and execute process improvements to meet speed to market goals.
  • Review capacity to accomplish project deadlines and manage resource requirements with Tiffany Gemological Lab (TGL) and Gemstone Acquisition (GA) management.
  • Maintain process and discipline, support divisional standards.

Procurement Management:

With Cross functional teams:
  • Manage off-line procurement demand.
  • Organize agendas, gemstone presentations, and recaps for department-led cross functional meetings.
  • Support procurement for Diamonds over 6ct and Rare Fancy Colored Diamond (RFCD) categories.
  • Support all strategic initiatives for global retail events.

With Suppliers:
  • Purchase Order management as needed to fulfill BB and Loose stone consignment orders.

This role will also support the Chief Gemologist as needed for all global retail events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel).
  • Basic Materials Resource Planning (MRP) knowledge.
  • Ability to travel based on business needs.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in project and/or process management in a leadership capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Gemological Degree (Graduate Gemologist)
