JOB PURPOSE

The Human Resources Advisor provides proactive administrative support for the Americas HR Operations team ensuring all employees are accounted for within the organization and assisting in the lifecycle of Burberry employees in all necessary administrative facets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Talent Management - work with stores to retain, recruit and develop talent. Competitive store, understand the markets, talent, compensation, etc. of our competitors.
• Ensure all paperwork (new hire, change of status, termination) is filled out completely and in a timely manner in partnership with Employee Services
• Ensure all employees in HRIS in partnership with Employee Services
• Maintain an accurate filing system for all active and termed employees in partnership with Employee Services
• Assist in the Performance Management process with communication, tracking and filing
• Maintain retail organizational chart on a monthly basis
• Guide store management through time and attendance and sales related queries, recommend corrective action when necessary
• Partner with retail management to draft and deliver progressive action forms ensuring policy consistency and clarity for any time and attendance and sales related issues
• Serve as point of contact for stores regarding HR & payroll related inquiries.
• Train retail management on background check process, manage system inquiries and make appropriate hiring recommendations based on established thresholds
• Compliance: Work with store management and Market Director to ensure compliance on Brazilian Labor Legal requirements.
• Ensure all employee relations issues are handled effectively with minimal risk to the business utilising the HR Employee Services team to assist where appropriate. Ensure all advice and guidance offered is compliant with employment legislation and Company policies and procedures, with consideration of the commercial needs of the business. Work with Market Directors and store management to guide and educate on effective delivery.
• Liaise with Payroll department regarding pay discrepancies and follow up with retail store management to resolve (calculate commission, bonus, incentive, check payroll, vacation, severances, payroll taxes)
• Maintain exit interview process, analyse exit data and recommend retention ideas to reduce turnover and improve employee engagement
• SAP global contact, identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency
• Partner with HR Operations to map ways of working and streamline/implement processes
• Assist in implementing and communicating company policies and procedures to employees in the retail field
• Attend weekly Retail HR Operations touch bases
• Ensure all Health and Safety paperwork is updated.
• Process payments to vendors on SAP.
• Coordinate onboarding program for retail management and execute onboarding of retail management
• Create internal communications for new hires (manager and above)
• Execute global HR programmes and processes as per the agreed standard HR calendar, including performance management, talent review, pay review and seasonal programmes.

PERSONAL PROFILE

• University degree
• Highly proficient in Brazilian Labor Law and HR practices
• Creative problem solving ability
• Proficient with MS office
• Knowledge of SAP
• Track record in generalist HR role
• Results-oriented
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work effectively
