Who What Wear is looking to hire an Associate Social Media Strategist to join its award-winning culture. If you’re a social media expert looking for your next move, we’d love to hear from you! 

As the Associate Social Media Strategist, you will work closely with the marketing, branded content, and creative teams to produce engaging social content that upholds our editorial sensibilities while also aligning with our clients’ KPIs. If you're the ideal candidate, you will have a strong passion for social media, works effectively under pressure and tight deadlines, is a creative self-starter who succeeds in collaborative environments, and is well versed in the fashion and beauty space. You will also have intimate familiarity with Who What Wear with a deep passion for and understanding of the media brand and its family of consumer brands.

This position is based in Los Angeles and reports to the Director of Social Strategy. 

Who What Wear is powered by a hybrid remote/ in-person workforce that spans the US and UK. Our interviewing and onboarding activities are conducted virtually, as will most of your work, but you should be open to working in person from time to time if necessary. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop social media copy and select and/or source imagery for branded content, sales, marketing, and affiliate efforts across Who What Wear.
  • Collaborate with the branded content, marketing, and creative teams on photo, video, and livestream shoots, including concept ideation, creative and pre-production decks, and capturing social-first assets on set. 
  • Schedule and publish branded content posts across social media platforms.
  • Work with the Director of Social Strategy to provide campaign and competitive reporting to internal teams.
  • Maintain synergy between marketing calendar and editorial calendar and act as a liaison between branded content and social teams.
  • Brainstorm with social team leadership and cross-functional teams to concept innovative social ideas across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Live Shopping) for branded content, affiliate, and internal consumer brand campaigns.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in online publishing or marketing, with a background in social media.
  • Must be well versed in the women’s fashion and beauty landscape; must have an interest in social media/content marketing and experience with social publishing and reporting tools and working knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment; team player attitude and resourceful, can-do spirit.
  • Ability to balance strong creative instincts, a sharp eye, and attention to detail with a strategic and results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication; must possess strong writing skills and demonstrate a careful hand with brands. 
  • Client-facing experience is a plus; in-house brand experience also a plus.
