About the Role

In this role, you will be part of the Customer Experience Strategic Sourcing team supporting the Gap Inc portfolio of brands: Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. You will partner with our brands & corporate functions across the globe, to continuously drive value across non-merchandise categories. You will establish, analyze, and refine the business's sourcing strategy ensuring alignment with business goals. You will ensure we Do The Right Thing as an organization by optimizing our purchasing power, building, and maintaining strategic vendor relationships, and contract management.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and drive sourcing strategies for customer experience categories including Retail Packaging (shoppers, poly bags, gift boxes, gift card carriers, garment bags, etc..,), branded OMNI channel Packaging , Hangers (garment & accessories), and other Retail Customer Experience categories as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the Creative teams to source and develop new packaging in support of business objectives and seasonal initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the brands, suppliers, and the Gap Inc Sustainability team to make significant progress in support of sustainability goals.
  • Support the business' short-term and long-term plans through functional/technical knowledge relevant to these specific sourcing categories.
  • Drive cost optimization, excellence in sourcing capabilities and minimize risk through knowledge of strategic sourcing functions (category reviews, RFXs, market intelligence, business partner influencing strategies, contract management, negotiations, and supplier relationship management)
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with vendors and internal associates to collaborate, influence, and execute an effective sourcing strategy to optimize our financial position and reduce costs.

Who You Are

  • Experience in implementing key strategic sourcing functions (category reviews, RFXs, market intelligence, business partner influencing, contract management, negotiations, supplier relationship management, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment, and still achieve high levels of performance and sustainable results to the team.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate across varied functions and levels within the organization including senior internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies, and colleagues to drive results and influence change.
  • Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions to benefit Gap Inc.
  • Understanding of concepts, manufacturing process, and procurement procedures specific to Retail Packaging, Branded Omni Packaging, and Hangers.
