About the Role

•Support the Director of Quality Engineering in executing Manufacturing Excellence strategy, particularly in automation Implementation, to achieve efficiency, quality and leadtime improvement towards smart manufacturing.
•This position is responsible for implementing automation strategies to achieve manufacturing excellence goal.
•Research, develop, drive and leverage automation capability. Continue develop ideal manufacturing model per categories and projects by driving optimum innovation solutions for manufacturing excellence.
•Collaborates with machinery suppliers/subject matter experts, manufacturing lean managers and targeted vendors to drive the most cost effective automation solution, measure and monitor vendors' automation adoption ability towards maximizing overall factory efficiencies leading to consistent high-quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Analyzes processes, identify opportunities and recommend best available solutions (with ROI study) to automation workflow and production processes to build, update and maintain Ideal Manufacturing Model (IMM) and automation library cross product category.
  • Manage automation projects, through research, develop and partner with different suppliers/SMEs on research and development and partner with vendors and automation suppliers to deploy off-the-shelf solutions whenever it is needed.
  • Work with selected target vendors on automation initiatives, continue monitor the projects, provide as technology consultant to drive along with improvement initiatives with lean manager to achieve efficiency, quality and leadtime improvement for manufacturing excellence.
  • To continually look outside to the market study and keep updated Industry best practices and new automation method and technology.
  • Drive, collect, monitoring and review automation index (AI) performance per set goal.
  • Promote innovation through partnership with different stakeholders inside and outside.

Who You Are

  • Engineering Degree required with a min 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in apparel industry Automation, Manufacturing, Project Management
  • Knowledge and experience working in footwear, apparel and backpack industry is a definite advantage
  • Ability to analyze workflow, research and provide automation solutions.
  • Ability to influence and challenge status-quo
  • Understanding of product construction, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Must be detailed oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines with good project management skill.
  • Good communication and work in matrix organization.
  • Be open minded and continual learning capability.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to continue to learn and innovate.
