Our International team is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and collaborative Director of International Marketing with a proven track-record of success in running multi-million dollar digital advertising campaigns. Reporting into the General Manager of International, you will be responsible for defining and driving the growth strategy, execution, and expansion of International markets across various paid channels. This role requires someone highly analytical, creative, and agile, capable of gaining alignment, building relationships, and managing projects across various stages of growth..

This role will work cross-functionally with internal teams across marketing, brand, creative, digital product, and data, while managing our external partner relationships including an international marketing agency, as well as Google, Meta, and other paid media partners. The focus of this role is to increase International brand awareness, drive traffic and consideration, and scale new customer acquisition in our key growth International markets (Canada, UK, Australia and Continental Europe) while maintaining and increasing engagement in our existing customer base . The ideal candidate has a passion for building businesses, and a deep understanding of performance marketing, creative strategy, the marketing sales funnel, and the customer lifecycle.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Serve as a thought partner to GM of International on growth strategies across the international market
  • Develop marketing strategy tailored to each country according to its phase of growth
  • Define the scope of multiple International growth and acquisition opportunities by abstracting insights from large datasets, following industry trends, consumer insights and customer feedback
  • Source, evaluate, select and manage day-to-day relationships with International Marketing Agencies and other technology and business partners in key growth countries (e.g. Canada, UK, Australia, Continental Europe) and ensure alignment with overall company strategy.
  • Serve as sales channel lead, define and manage budgets and prioritize initiatives with internal Paid Marketing teams and external agencies to increase activations by executing campaigns through different channels (SEM, Social, Display, Affiliate marketing) and Media relationships
  • Lead strategy for non-paid channels (email, sms, push, referral) in partnership with Retention team
  • Identify International conversion and retention opportunities to improve our global site experience for customers outside the US.
  • Define and manage International content calendar to optimize for country specific sales trends in alignment with overall company content strategy
  • Work closely with brand and creative teams to build brand campaigns and compelling ads that not only project our brand, but also have an emphasis on performance

What You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, ecommerce and / or retail, ideally with an International focus
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to dive deep into numbers and data, build forecasting and growth models, and develop a plan of action
  • Deep understanding of A/B creative testing and data driven optimization marketing
  • Deep understanding of marketing fundamentals and experience with ecommerce platforms, digital marketing trends and channels
  • Clear, concise communication and strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • A strong creative side with the ability to identify elements of creative and messaging that perform in different countries and come up with suggestions for new iterations with brand and design teams. Must also be able to think creatively to identify growth opportunities throughout cross-functional departments within the company
  • Ability to define priorities and structure processes based on impact, confidence, and ease of execution
  • An entrepreneurial mindset: Enthusiastic about building businesses through innovative thinking and a natural curiosity. Must always be looking for opportunities to elevate the baseline and share learnings across the organization
  • Able to work out of our Santa Monica HQ or remotely in New York
