Fabric Production Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow up with fabric R&D team to identify bulk fabric qualities and prepare for hand off
• Initiate core fabric placement to meet Corporate T&A schedule
• Place all fabric RM PO’s with necessary mills/factories
• Monitor daily communication between mills and factories & take preemptive action/update production team as needed
• Monitor & track all changes in deliveries and report fabric status directly with both internal & external partners
• Review bulk fabric shipment sample for approval & keep all necessary parties updated
• Negotiate bulk fabric prices and delivery dates to help secure best delivery dates and margins for finished good
• Strategize and negotiate with mill/factories on freight saving for bulk fabric shipments from mill to factory
• Arrange fabric testing and inspection with mill and 3rd party inspection facility
• Make all fabric claims and negotiate with mills and factories for defects and damages found on bulk yardages
• Oversee fabric inventory and manage all liabilities
• Attend weekly production WIP/development TB meetings and update fabric status
• Update and Maintain the Fabric Production Milestone Calendar

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Product Development, Production, Design, or any related fields
• 3-5 years of experience as a production fabric buyer
• In-depth knowledge of textile categories and construction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Window/Office
• RLM experience a plus
