Summary of Role

 

TITLE:                                    Production Manager

REPORTS TO:                       Supply Chain Director

Overall responsibility for planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes.  To ensure that goods are produced efficiently and that the correct amount are produced at the right cost and level of quality.

Role Detail

Responsibilities:

  • Management of supply chain from sketch to store
  • Executes the merchandising led strategy with manufacturing and achieves costs and intake margin
  • On board new suppliers/factories alongside the supply chain director to elevate quality and to meet the needs to the sales/merchandising plan.
  • Build and nurture supplier relationships to support growth and business change.
  • Owns and creates production and critical path calendars and drives team (design, technical, production, factory, merchandising, wholesale) adherence to meet all deadlines to hit business goals
  • Ensuring on time garment delivery – prototypes, samples and bulk production
  • Drives financial results by recommending process enhancement, leveraging best practices, and recommending cost savings strategies.
  • Manage the integration of raw material and product costs as well as the on order book between Zedonk and Temacs
  • Write, manage, and report to the business on the development and sample budget
  • Overseas all cost of goods with the support of the supply chain director.
  • Drives cost analysis (transport, cmt, raw materials, trims) to deliver financial savings
  • Works with design and the technical developer to ensure quality is maximized and understood by all parties.
  • Support the technical developer with communication of Turnbull and Assers compliance guidelines to maintain and improve on quality at all times  
  • Ensure that testing is complete where required and all product labelling and packaging meet international requirements
  • Oversea raw material standards to negate the risk of any arising non-compliance
  • To own and manage all 3rd party logistics, product packaging on inbound paperwork and custom compliance into UK and manage the inventory at our distribution centre
  • Confirms and manages all production activities, creating supply chain guidelines and assists merchandising with core replenishment.
  • Ensuring supplier’s capacities are not under or over utilized.
  • Milestone calendar updates (dates hit & missed & x-factory date)
  • Report product testing & records booking status
  • Inbound traffic reports & amended intake tracker
  • Customs & Documentation Issues
  • Final Costing 
  • Inbound packaging
  • QA & Control Compliance standards / New Vendor Forms  

 

Requirements                                                                                                        

Good computer skills

Analytical

Zedonk experience preferred

Strong Production / Supply Chain Background

Detail Orientated

Must have fashion experience

Luxury experience preferred

Good team player
