Job Description:
Individuals appointed will teach an advanced "Structural Design" course in the Intimate Apparel Specialization area in the BFA Program. The position requires full knowledge in all aspects of Foundation Garments specific to the Intimate Apparel Industry. Expertise required on all aspects of the range of Underwire Bras, Bustiers, Soft Bras, Panties, etc. Must be proficient in draping, pattern making, construction and fitting techniques of Foundation garments. Knowledge of Intimate Apparel specialized machinery a plus. Instructors are required to assess student performance and submit grades within the academic timetable.
Requirements:
Candidates are required to have an Associate Degree. In addition, the applicant must possess a minimum of six years of working experience as a Designer in Foundation Design with hands on Underwire Bra, Bustier, Panty Design and Development credentials. Basic computer literacy is required. Prior teaching at the college level is preferred.
