Job Details

Job Description:

The Film, Media, and Performing Arts department seeks screenwriters for introductory and intermediate level courses in writing for film and television. Introductory courses focus on development of story concepts, characters, scenes, and dialogue, as well as a process that might include, pitches, treatments, and drafts of short and/or long narrative scripts.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master Fine Arts degree or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level.
  • Detailed knowledge of Film/TV-Industry screenwriting forms and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A record of professional engagement, scripts written for hire, optioned, sold, or produced for film or television.


Additional Information:

Salary Schedule 97 (pg. 80)
Step 0 to Step 3: $72.08 - $83.87 per hour
Salary and appointment rank will be based on education level and cumulative experience.
