Job Description:

The Modern Languages and Cultures department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions in French, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Spanish . Course descriptions are available on the FIT Website .

Requirements:

Applicants should demonstrate professional experience and a record appropriate for teaching language courses at the college level. Record of teaching excellence and of utilization of emerging and innovative forms of modern language/culture pedagogy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree required. Thirty (30) additional and appropriate graduate credits and/or evidence of scholarly achievement, professional activities, and experience teaching similar courses at the college level in appropriate fields (Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Comparative Literature, Linguistics).The requirement for the Master's Degree may be waived if the candidate is in a doctoral program in which the Master's Degree is not required, or if the proposed instructor has certification in a specific discipline.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time position. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. The department will keep this posting open to create a pool of candidates for potential future adjunct assignments. Salary Schedule 97 (pg. 80)
Step 0 to Step 3: $72.08 - $83.87 per hour
Salary and appointment rank will be based on education level and cumulative experience.
