PVH Merchandising is responsible for the budgeting, product trading and supply chain strategy for the Region North business. In a constantly changing retail environment, they look to drive the optimum assortment for each retail location, based upon: customer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape.

Working closely with all key retail stakeholders (buying, retail operations, visual merchandising and store teams) collaboration, strong communication and a passion for opportunity and success are the foundations for this team!

Reporting into the Retail Director the Senior Merchandising Manager plays a key role as a member of the Senior Retail Management team. They will be expected to lead and inspire their team and to involve themselves in wider cross function products.

Responsibilities include:

Best In Class Merchandising:
  • Own the store planning and trading strategy for UK+ within Full Price and Brand Partner channels
  • Manage store budgets including sales, options counts and end stock forecasts within a cross channel framework. Ensuring accurate end of season stock forecasts to Outlets channel
  • Own space and capacity management in line with business strategies and agreed sales and space plans, to review these within season to ensure sales by division are maximised
  • Manage and report on store sales densities proposing changes in line with wider business strategy
  • Manage options by division in stores to outline maximum stock capacities at store level, working with Planners to ensure this feeds into future Buying Process
  • Collaborate with Central Planning and Buying teams, influence product assortment in line with analysis. Highlighting under and over performing areas, making suggestions on stock package opportunities
  • Own the seasonal trading calendar strategy and participate in weekly trading meetings proposing trade actions to support company strategy
  • Manage in season trading decisions ensuring agreed targets for margin, sales and end- stock are met
  • Ensure the Retail Merchandising team are delivering a robust allocation strategy ensuring store ranges are optimized at all times
  • Topline management of UK+ end stock flow and seasonal storage
  • Undertake stores visits and work with key stores to support their performance and assess your department against competition

  • Regular communication with piers across the region to align on best practices
  • Partner with senior associates within Retail, Planning, Buying, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations and Finance functions to ensure all KPI's are met
  • Influence senior associates within different functions to ensure the in-season trading strategy is a success
  • Have full understanding of performance across the region
  • Think global and promote global thinking to entire team
  • Ensure team working collaboratively with Profit Protection and Retail Operations to strive to achieve a reduced profit loss and better Omni-channel experience for our consumer
  • Work with the Amsterdam division/s to exploit their capability and ensure ways of working are established in line with the business model
  • Key contact for PVH European Depot Centre, working collaboratively to improve UK+ logistic solution

High Performing Team
  • Lead, inspire and elevate all associates working within the function
  • Champion our Merchandising vision and strive for best practice merchandising in all day to day processes and activities
  • Act as an ambassador for the Merchandising function, representing the function both at the Central Amsterdam office and within market
  • Ensures best practice is maintained at all times
  • Have clear view on talent mapping and succession plans

Systems & AI
  • Push the team to implement and exploit new systems and processes to continually improve merchandising practises
  • Have full knowledge of AI solutions which are in the marketplace
  • Understand and champion any new AI tools
  • Ensure your market is at the full front of any AI trials and system adoption within Global PVH

About YOU
  • You have a successful proven track record as a Head of or Merchandising Manager
  • You have extensive knowledge of Branch Planning and In-Season Trading
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills, you Collaborate to Win with the ability to build relationships with ease
  • You have broad experience with examples of demonstrating the ability to Adapt Fast to change and have a record of success at different levels where you Inspire Trust amongst peers
  • You're commercially astute and a confident decision maker, communicating with impact across all levels and Make Informed Decisions
