JOB PURPOSE

To drive the implementation of a supply chain chemical management and water conservation programmes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the Chemical and Water Manager for some key Shoe Vendors, actively supporting them in implementing the requirements of our Water Conservation and Chemical Management programmes, such as completing and progressing Supplier to Zero and prepare related documentation on their behalf or complete our Water Conservation Assessment and progress their continuous improvement plans.
  • Ensure regional partners are successfully implementing chemical management and water conservation in-line with supply chain targets, including our wastewater testing programme globally.
  • plan, assess and review partner's progress and promote/support their performance elevation through training, consultancy, root cause analysis, issue resolution, processes implementation and enable partners collaboration.
  • Consolidate programmes results in form of performance reports
  • Promote and implement continuous improvement internally and in the supply chain
  • Be the regional point of contact for sustainable manufacturing and provide guidance to other teams
  • On-board partners in the water conservation and chemical management programme and ensure seamless connection of the two initiatives
  • create and manage partnerships with European vendors and suppliers; build knowledge of supply chain and partners
  • Gather data from multiple sources (internal databases, such as product bulk chemical testing, and external databases, such as ZDHC Gateway), ingestion to our own monitoring tools and perform analytics to communicate progress against sustainable manufacturing related KPI
  • Collaborate in stakeholders' working groups in the development/refinement of tools (e.g. ZDHC)
  • Ensure seamless connection with Corporate Responsibility driven initiatives.
  • Produce content for internal and external communication/reporting in relation to our chemical and water programmes (e.g. Annual Report, ZDHC Brand to Zero, CDP Water, DJSI...)
  • Engage and build relationships with external parties (labs, brands, working groups, chemical suppliers, others)
  • Ensure alignment with Corporate and regional teams


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Bachelor Degree in Environmental Management / Chemical Management / Sustainability
  • Product compliance and water management experience are preferred
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Excellent relationship management
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc to advanced level.
  • Adaptable with good communication skills
  • Collaborative approach
  • Autonomous worker & self-motivated
