JOB PURPOSE

We are recruiting for a talented individual to join our Showroom team as a Showroom Floor Supervisor. The role will be full time, 37.5 hours per week, working shifts from 08:00-22:00 Monday-Sunday, and with two days off per week. You will be required to be available to work weekends and public holidays and commit to this role on a permanent basis, and hold a valid working visa if required. The ideal candidate will find motivation in supporting different activities and stakeholders while overseeing a team. Please note this is not a sales or desk based role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve the highest standard of presentation and service, including the maintenance of the visual merchandising and the upkeep of immaculate product care and back of house standards.
  • Support higher management with the planning, strategy and execution of seasonal markets and runway.
  • Be able to connect and interact with a wide spectrum of senior executives from the corporate teams, such as Visual Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Internal communication, client engagement and Facilities.
  • Maintain the Showroom areas to the agreed high standards. Always ensuring the Showroom is ready for high level initiatives and walkthroughs which includes Press day, VIP client day, CEO meetings, internal coms.
  • Be a strong team member investing into our brand value, exploring our D&I (I.e. black history month, pride) Sustainability etc.
  • Be present on the Showroom floor to lead the team during our exciting 6 wholesale markets a year. Ensuring that all internal and external clients receive a luxurious Showroom experience.
  • Be a role model to the showroom assistant team and become recognized by key stakeholders working within the showroom space, following grooming guidelines and wearing the branded Burberry uniform.
  • Supervise, coach and develop a team of showroom assistants under the guidance of higher management, including planning their daily tasks, touch bases, monitoring their progress, grooming guidelines and time keeping.
  • Actively support the sample team by becoming a key point of contact within the Showroom team to support sample related operations, such as goods receipting the collection from show, moving stock to other departments and keeping track of curated looks and runway, clear out, shipments and seamstress amendments.

  • A global and professionally mature mind set with ability to interact with different cultures.
  • Experience of managing, coaching and developing a team.
  • Confidence in delegating tasks and following up with team.
  • Able to demonstrate a creative eye, flexible and adaptable approach to working.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and working to tight deadlines.
  • SAP/LM/FLEX knowledge desirable.
  • Passionate about products and the luxury industry.
  • Excellent personal presentation and grooming.
  • Will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in their positive attitude and conduct.
  • Experience of working under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility essential (work weekends and/or early/late shifts when required).
  • A digital mindset desirable.
  • Excellent team player.
