The IT Project Manager - Business Engagement Retail is responsible for leading projects and programs towards successful delivery of outcome/product/capability. Will partner directly with the business and IT leaders to align on Retail application roadmaps, facilitating project/program discovery, scoping, budget, governance, and communications in terms of Retail and Omnichannel applications. Helping to drive worldwide transformation programs, while defining the project approach, lead organizational change through assessment and review of standards, organization structure, and processes. In addition, is responsible for empowering teams to optimally roll out the solution while collaborating closely with the Technical and Delivery Application & Support teams and Regions.

Responsible for strategic planning, defining project approaches and methodology, producing executive status reports, issue and risk management, leading overall schedule, and interdependencies, conducting after action analysis, and setting consistent standards and processes. Facilitates and drives discussion at all levels, from requirements capturing to transformational alignment at a leadership level. Partnering with Business stakeholders and developing a deep knowledge of supported business areas. Coordinates demand intake from their respective business teams and perform a high-level effort assessment of the business initiative.

Plays a key role to align solutions and recommendations and develop a strong partnership with the IT group including zone organizations in Europe, China, APAC, Korea, Japan and Americas.

Main area of responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

Retail Applications
  • Unlocking Omni and Order Management capabilities
  • Expanding Tiffany to new markets/countries
  • Store Inventory and After Sales Service


Provides hands-on support, mentoring and guiding functional/technical managers, support the development of portfolio materials and reports for leaders, and be an active member of the PMO Community of Practice. Encouraged to learn how the solutions they lead impact business capabilities and chip in both to the project as well as the overall solution.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads multiple projects from case development to final product delivery
  • Leads cross-functional project teams by prioritizing and coordinating all aspects of project discovery and execution
  • Conducts requirement gathering sessions with business users, while providing mentorship in formulating new requirements and improving business processes
  • Works closely with business sponsors and application owners as needed to ensure well-defined user roles, use cases, business cases
  • Supervises, identifies, and responds to project risks while helping the project owners and prioritizes risk mitigating actions
  • Leads budget and benefit realization, including risk and opportunity management
  • Partners with other project managers to coordinate interdependencies among the portfolio/program
  • Ensures reporting cadence is followed and communication needs of the project/program are appropriately met
  • Performs vendor management as it relates to program/project
  • Provides project management advice, leadership, and direction to junior project managers for outstanding delivery
  • Collaboratively works with other functions like Finance, Organizational Change, HR, Procurement, etc. towards IT portfolio delivery excellence
  • Ensures the accurate organizational change and adoption approach is considered for each project
  • Conducts business requirement sessions, documenting current, to-be process flows and support testing partnering with Quality Assurance teams


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience as a project manager of large and sophisticated projects
  • Demonstrated ability as an IT Business Analyst
  • Comprehensive experience in Commercial applications in Retail: POS, e-commerce, clienteling, Omni-channel, OMS, CRM, Omni-payments, etc.)
  • Broad understanding of project and program management methodologies
  • Experience leading budgets and benefit realization
  • Ability to make data capturing specific and relevant to drive insights
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships
  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse group of individuals and recognize key stakeholders and develop tactics to effectively implement change
  • Authentic curiosity and learning agility to deeply understand business needs
  • Desire and ability to mentor staff and project teams
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Experience partnering with 3rd party vendors
  • Consultative skills, such as workshop facilitation, synthesize information into presentations with concrete recommendations, and business case development
  • Tight-knit collaboration and ability to work within a matrix-run organization
  • Must be independent, self-motivated and detailed oriented


Preferred:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification
  • Agile certification (i.e., SCRUM Master)
  • Six Sigma green belt or above preferred
  • ITIL certified preferred
  • Experience with luxury industry and/or Consumer Goods preferred
