SENIOR MERCH PLANNER Full Time
Lunya is looking for a planner for our fast-growing team. You will partner closely with members of the executive team to monitor/analyze historical sales in order to forecast accurately, reconcile any forecast gaps to adjust plans and efficiently manage inventory. You will be expected to apply industry expertise, strong analytics and financial acumen that support revenue growth, profitability and other strategic objectives.

A majority of your position will demand ownership, excellent interpersonal skills with a service mindset, the ability to plan ten steps ahead and use data and analytics to solve complex problems. - For each forecast milestone event, validate the channel roll-up of sales, margin, and SKU-level productivity metrics to meet company goals
- Manage and maintain healthy levels of inventory to support sales plans and meet company targets
- Assist in setting targets for revenue, gross margin, and inventory that meet overall company financial metrics
- Conduct deep-dives to identify style/color/size penetrations to influence future investments, as well as ensure inventory levels are appropriate to meet demand and sustain accordingly
- Create/maintain OTB and other planning-related documents, as well as manage forecasts, and read-and-react opportunities
- Monitor WOS, product turn cycles, and other key metrics to influence future investments
- Create and issue finished-goods purchase orders, and inventory transfers as needed
- Manage inventory allocation across multiple distribution channels and locations
- Work closely with Merchandising and Production on long-lead fabric planning
- Analyze new product launch influence on growth in complementary product areas or cannibalization of existing products or categories for variable forecasting
- Partner with Merchandising on product hind-sight analysis
- Communicate inventory opportunities and risks, and financial performance, to stakeholders/senior leadership
- Collaborate with Merchandising to gain demand planning insights and qualitative feedback around new products, when historical or benchmark data is limited
- Support ad hoc reporting and projects as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 5+ years of planning experience - apparel/consumer goods industry preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong retail math skills
- Experience working with ERP and POS systems
- High proficiency in Excel – such as formulas, VLOOKUPS, Macros, pivot tables
- Experience in retail and/or e-commerce a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work in a “self-starter” environment and manage multiple work-streams simultaneously
